JobsMeteor Terms of Use & Subscription Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, visiting, or using any part of JobsMeteor ("the Platform", "the Service"), you ("User", "you") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operators of JobsMeteor. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

JobsMeteor is an AI-powered career platform that provides:

• Aggregated job listings from verified public company career APIs (Greenhouse, Lever, Remotive, RemoteOK, Arbeitnow, and others)
• AI-generated job summaries, trust scores, salary estimates, and match analyses
• AI Resume Analyzer with ATS-style feedback and improvement suggestions
• AI Resume Builder for creating and exporting professional resumes
• AI Cover Letter Generator for tailored application letters
• Meteon AI Career Assistant — a conversational AI for career guidance
• Public Career Profile pages with portfolio website capability
• Job bookmarking, preference management, and application tracking

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without prior notice or liability.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use the Platform. By using it you confirm you meet this requirement.
• Accounts are created via Google OAuth only. You authorize us to receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google upon sign-in.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your Google account credentials secure.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account via our contact form.
• Each person may maintain only one account. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, without notice.

4. Subscriptions & Plans

JobsMeteor offers the following tiers:

AI credit limits (monthly reset) are described on the Pricing page. Limits apply per calendar month and unused credits do not roll over.

Subscriptions are not automatically recurring. Each plan period (monthly) must be renewed manually. You will not be charged automatically without your explicit action.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateway authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Why We Cannot Offer Refunds

• Premium AI credits and features are granted and accessible immediately upon successful payment
• AI computation, resume analysis, cover letter generation, and similar services consume resources the moment you initiate them
• Digital service access, once granted, cannot be "returned" unlike physical goods
• Day Passes begin their 24-hour countdown from the moment of payment, making reversal impractical

Limited Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund or credit only in the following narrow circumstances:

• Duplicate charge: Your payment was debited twice for the same order (verifiable via Razorpay order IDs)
• Failed activation: Payment was successfully deducted but credits/plan were never activated on your account after 24 hours, and you have contacted us
• Service unavailability: The Platform was completely inaccessible for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our infrastructure failure

To request a review under these exceptions, contact us within 7 days of the transaction via our contact form, providing your registered email, Razorpay order/payment ID, and a description of the issue. All decisions are final at our discretion.

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank without first contacting us constitutes a breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where unauthorized chargebacks are filed and to contest all such disputes with evidence of legitimate service delivery.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, spider, or systematically download job listings, AI outputs, or any data from the Platform
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to access, query, or interact with the Platform
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code of the Platform or its AI systems
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent Free-tier usage limits
• Share, resell, or sublicense your account access or AI credits to others
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to compromise system integrity
• Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or denial-of-service attacks without our written consent
• Post or transmit any unlawful, defamatory, or objectionable content through Platform features
• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws in India or your jurisdiction

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and potential legal action.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information
• Keep key details verified.
• Trust scores are algorithmic assessments, not guarantees of employer legitimacy
• Salary estimates are AI approximations; actual compensation is set by employers
• Resume feedback is based on pattern matching; it is not a guarantee of interview success
• We do not guarantee job placement, interview invitations, or employment outcomes

9. Job Listings Disclaimer

JobsMeteor aggregates job listings from third-party public APIs. We are not the employer, recruiter, or hiring agent for any listed position. We disclaim all responsibility for:

• Accuracy, completeness, or currency of job descriptions
• Whether positions are still open when you apply
• Salary information or benefits described in listings
• The conduct, legitimacy, or hiring practices of any listed employer
• Outcomes of any job applications you submit

Always verify job details directly on the employer's official careers page before applying.

10. Intellectual Property

The JobsMeteor platform — including its design, code, architecture, AI models, scoring systems, branding, and original editorial content — is the intellectual property of its operators and protected under Indian copyright law (Copyright Act, 1957) and applicable international treaties.

• Job descriptions and company logos remain the property of their respective owners
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without written permission
• AI-generated content delivered to you is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only

11. User Content

Content you create or upload (resume text, profile information, public career profile) remains yours. By submitting content to JobsMeteor, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, display, and store it solely to provide the Service to you.

• We do not claim ownership of your resume, profile, or personal data
• We do not use your individual content to train AI models or share it with third parties for training
• Public profile content you explicitly mark as public may be indexed by search engines
• You are responsible for ensuring your submitted content does not infringe third-party rights

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

13. Advertising

The Free tier of the Platform displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are clearly labeled. We are not responsible for advertiser content. Paid plans (Pro and above) receive an ad-free experience. We comply with Google AdSense program policies in the display and placement of all advertisements.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• We suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity on your account
• Required by law or legal process

Upon account deletion or termination, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy data retention schedule. Paid subscriptions that are still active are not refundable upon voluntary account deletion.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• JobsMeteor is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Platform
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• This includes losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content, missed job opportunities, or employment decisions
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim (if any)

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JobsMeteor and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) content you submit to the Platform.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 apply where relevant.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.

Users outside India acknowledge that their use of the Platform is subject to Indian law, and that local consumer protection regulations (such as EU Consumer Rights Directive or CCPA) may additionally apply to them where mandated by their jurisdiction.

18. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us via our contact form to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any complaint within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India) before a sole arbitrator, unless the claim qualifies for the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under Indian consumer protection law.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email for material changes and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
